Non Fiction call out

Influx Press are looking for non-fiction proposals. We will be open for unsolicited submissions from Women and non-binary authors for two weeks from January 5th to the 19th 2020.

We are looking for off beat non-fiction that explores contemporary life and culture in the UK or beyond. Be as creative with the idea of non-fiction as you like, genre bending, disruptive and innovative work is encouraged.

If you enjoyed Influx books such as Jeffrey Boakye’s Hold Tight or Darran Anderson’s Imaginary Cities, then please consider submitting. Outside of Influx’s list we are fans of Rebecca Solnit, Jia Tolentino, Akala, Gordon Burn, Svetlana Alexievich, Edouard Louis and Maria Ndiaye.

Please send a full proposal, two sample chapters / 10,000 words, and examples of previous work published to Sanya Semakula – submissions@influxpress.com

Please allow up to four months for a reply. We are a small team and it takes a lot of time to read and consider all work sent to us.

If you don’t fit the criteria for this particular brief, please do not send anything in as it will not be considered. There will be a general window open at a later date.

WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR ALL OTHER SUBMISSION CATEGORIES,
